During the third quarter of 2024, the top tools apps on Android in the United States showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy from Nord Security saw its weekly revenue rise steadily, reaching around $301K by the end of September. Downloads fluctuated with a peak of about 63K in late September, and weekly active users increased from approximately 772K to 840K throughout the quarter.

Norton360 Antivirus & Security experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at nearly $175K in early September. Downloads, however, showed a decline, dropping from around 63K to 29K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users saw a decrease from approximately 187K to 172K.

AVG AntiVirus & Security maintained a stable revenue stream, with a peak of about $111K in early September. Downloads remained relatively steady, with a high of 48K at the start of September. The number of active users held at around 585K by the end of the quarter.

ExpressVPN: VPN Fast & Secure reported consistent revenue, reaching about $75K in mid-September. Downloads varied throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately 28K in early September. Active users increased slightly, ending the quarter at around 139K.

Malwarebytes Mobile Security showed a rise in weekly revenue, hitting approximately $70K in early September. Downloads peaked at nearly 38K during the same period, while active users grew from 43K to 62K over the quarter.
